Millions of Nigerians has tune in to their digital devices for the televised live proceeding from the tribunal venue at the court of appeal in Abuja, as eyes are on the judiciary for its verdict on the February 25, 2023 keenly contested presidential election.
The presidential election petition court is expected to deliver its verdict today (Wednesday).
Recall that, the electoral umpire announced the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, to have scored the highest number of votes — 8,794,726, almost two million votes more than his closest rival — former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 6,984,520 votes and the labour party candidate (LP) in less than a year had 6,101,533 votes.
Dissatisfied with the outcome of the election, both Atiku and Obi approached the court to invalidate it, the duo, in their separate petitions, claimed that they won the presidential poll, even as they challenged Tinubu’s eligibility to contest the election.
